Join Butterfly Conservation and Ulster Wildlife in managing some of our most wildlife-rich nature reserves in Northern Ireland. Make a difference while enjoying fresh air and good company!
The Umbra is a large, undisturbed sand-dune system consisting of dune grasslands wetter dune slacks and a small hazel copse.
In summertime it boasts an impressive display of flowering plants and has an incredible diversity of insect life. It’s threatened by encroaching scrub so we will be cutting and removing this from vulnerable areas.
Meet at layby at Umbra railway crossing, Umbra Nature Reserve, Seacoast Rd, Limavady BT49 0LH
