Join the Dorset Branch in celebrating spring moths, the Dawn Chorus and butterflies.

Saturday 8pm: DUE TO UNCERTAINITY OVER WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE OVERNIGHT ACTIVITY AND CAMP HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.  OTHER PLANS GO AHEAD AS PLANNED.

Sunday 4am for 4.30am:  The Nightingale Experience - A Dawn Chorus Walk to hear the nightingales and other spring songbirds, followed by breakfast. Advanced booking is essential.

Sunday 9am: Moths - An Inspection of last night’s moth catch, followed by refreshments at 10.30am.

Sunday 11am-1pm: Guided Walk to see the butterflies and other wildlife. Beginners, learners and new members welcome.

Bring your own picnic if you would like to have lunch on the reserve.

Alners Gorse reserve entrance is on the road from Kings Stag to Hazelbury Bryan, beside the Hazelbury Bryan village sign and 30 mph sign. 

Park on the wide straight road verge on the Kings Stag side of the village sign, well away from the dangerous bend, Grid ref: ST 736 100, nearest postcode DT10 2AU.
