Lancashire Butterfly Walk
Saturday 10 August 2013: 2pm
Ainsdale National Nature Reserve

Meet at the gated entrance to the Ainsdale NNR. (SD 303113) Just north of Woodvale Airfield on the A565 (south of Southport) are traffic lights turn west here along the Coast Road until the road rises over the railway line. Immediately after this, on the left is the entrance into the NNR.

The area contains one of the few Lancashire sites to see the Forester Moth and has a small area of meadow, grassland associated with the dunes, some mixed woodland and all backed by Pine forest. There are no car park facilities here, but a small road prior to the rail bridge on the left can be used.

Persons attending this event will be invited to join a Moth Night on Formby National Trust land on the same day. Those intending to attend the Moth Night should contact Richard on the numbers below a week or so in advance when further details will be confirmed.

For further details or for confirmation of the event going ahead in the case of inclement weather please phone Richard Walker on 01704 876747 or mobile 07974 555326
