Moth Trapping and Butterfly walk

Moth traps set the night before will be opened at this nursery and pick-your-own fruit farm.  Even if the weather has been wet, we will be able to open the traps in the dry.  A butterfly walk will follow, taking in the nectar-rich field margins, pond area and orchard.  With the diversity of habitat on this site our visit may last all day so please bring refreshments and a folding chair.

Directions: From Norwich take the A146 towards Lowestoft. Turn left at Hales and follow the road for approx 4 miles past the signs for Raveningham Hall on the right and Reedham Ferry on the left.  When the pylons end, look for a sign for Hillfield Nursery at Mill Lane on the left.  Follow the road a short way to a right turn into the Nursery and car park.  TM422974, Postcode NR14 6PA

This event is taking place over Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count, which runs from 17th July - 9th August. Why not download an ID Chart and take part in a 15-minute count during the walk! The results help us to see how butterflies are faring across the UK.
