East Midlands Conservation Task Day

East Midlands Conservation Task Day
Sunday 2nd March; 10am
Bingham Linear Park

Grizzled skipper volunteer work party Sunday 2nd March.

The work party on Sunday will take place on the disused railway line to the South East of Bingham, close to Granby.

We will be meeting at 10am in the farmyard of Vicar's Croft Farm, located off Granby Lane (please see map). Map

Please can you ensure that you arrive on time as we will be walking from the farm yard onto the site together as one group. If you are going to be slightly late then please call me on 07753 850760.

The site is a lovely location in rural south Nottinghamshire and is a regular bird ringing location for Jim Lennon from the South Notts Ringing Group/RSPB. Jim will also be there on Sunday and I'm sure we will be happy to field any questions you may have about the site.

The aim of the task will be to drag and burn as much brash that we can manage before the end of the day.

Please could you let me know if you are intending to attend as I would like to give the landowner an idea of the numbers we will be expecting.

Finally, at the weekend we will be working on a private site with the kind permission of two landowners, please could you ensure that you drive carefully and slowly when accessing the farm yard via the track and respect the site.

Look forward to seeing many of you again on Sunday.
