Glapthorn Cow Pasture is one of the best sites for the rare Black Hairstreak butterfly. Dick Smith, the Warden, will join us, show us around and will cover the other flora and fauna there. We are hopeful of seeing the Wood White in the afternoon at Harry's Park Wood nearby.
Join us at 10.30am on Saturday, 28th June 2014, parking on the side of the ample farm track, right opposite the reserve entrance. Near Glapthorn village, the grid ref. is: TL 005903. Bring lunch and drinks. There are no toilet facilities. As ever, sturdy footwear is recommended.
