Crowle Moor lies in the north-west corner of the Isle of Axholme. It is part of the Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve.The raised and maintained footpaths pass through this waterlogged and sometimes submerged area.
Join us to see this extraordinary place, and to find our Target Species for the day: the Large Heath butterfly.
We will meet at 10am in the Reserve Car Park, reached from an unclassified road running north-west from Crowle village. Map: OS 112, Grid ref: SE 758141. There are no toilet facilities. Bring lunch and drinks. Sturdy, even waterproof, footwear essential. As ever, don't forget your binoculars and cameras!
