Southrey Wood, much of which is an SSSI, is made up of coppiced woodland and is part of the extensive and historically important Bardney Limewoods.
It is home to the White Admiral, and the Brown and Purple Hairstreaks butterflies. Quite recently, Dormice have been successfully introduced. Regular management is needed to keep the rides and paths in good order. We would welcome your help!
The entrance to the wood lies one and a half miles from Bardney, on the B1190 Bardney to Bucknall road. Grid ref: TF 135684; Map: OS 121
