In the morning meet in the Paxton House car park (NT932520, TD15 1SZ) at 10.30 am for a walk around the woodlands led by Iain Cowe to search for butterflies, including Speckled Wood & Orange-tip and to see the contents of an overnight moth trap (if conditions permit).

Some of the paths through the woods are steep. There is a café which can provide lunch.

After lunch there will be butterfly-themed activities for children.

Booking with Paxton House is advisable – places are limited. Children must be accompanied. There is a £4 entry charge to Paxton House grounds.
