The Small Chocolate-tip moth had not been seen in the Borders for many years, until some of its caterpillars were found in 2013 by Teyl de Bordes in the Peeblesshire cleughs. Teyl will guide us on how to find these caterpillars and will also introduce us to other wildlife found in the valley.
Meet at 10.30 am at the Megget Reservoir Dam car park (NT2108 2328) to travel to nearby site(s) where we will be searching. Bring lunch and walking boots. The stream sides and vegetation can be wet & muddy, so wet weather gear can be appropriate even on sunny days. Midges can be lively throughout the area too!
