Join the Gloucestershire Branch celebrating National Meadows Day at our Rough Bank reserve, a wonderful example of a species-rich grassland, where we hope to see Small Skipper, Chalk Hill Blue, Dark Green Fritillary, Small Heath, Marbled White and Gatekeeper butterflies. The wildflowers and other plants that they require will also be pointed out.
The Bill Smyllie and Masts reserves are owned by Butterfly Conservation and are connected to form what is sometimes called the Prestbury Hill reserve. Together they have a wide range of butterflies, moths and other invertebrates, together with a good selection of wild flowers. On this walk we particularly hope to see Dark Green Fritillary and Marbled White butterflies.
