Join the Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire Branches at this joint event near Shaftesbury to find the Silver-spotted Skipper and other species.

Fontmell is the last Dorset refuge for the Silver-spotted Skipper and offers a great opportunity to study this and other downland specialities like Brown Argus, Chalk Hill Blue and the second brood of Adonis Blue.

Please bring stout footwear and a packed lunch if staying for the afternoon to visit the lower slopes.   

Everyone is to meet 11.00 am at the National Trust gate, map reference ST 886 187, nearest post code: SP5 5AP.
