Norfolk: Moth And Field Trip To Foxley Wood

Foxley Wood (Norfolk Wildlife Trust), north-west of Norwich

We will be opening moth traps put out the night before courtesy of Norfolk Wildlife Trust, followed at about 10.30am by a walk round this reserve looking for summer butterflies, including the White Admiral.

Paths may be damp and uneven, so sturdy footwear is advisable.

This event is taking place during Big Butterfly Count, the largest insect citizen science project in the world. Why not download an ID chart and take part in a 15-minute count during the event, which runs from 14 July - 6 August? The results help us see how butterflies are faring across the UK.
