The Symposium will include the latest science on how to reverse the decline of butterflies & moths, and conserve their habitats. Guest speaker Professor Bob Pyle, independent scholar from Washington State, will be also be joining us. Dr Pyle founded the international Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation & is an internationally renowned speaker and author of 17 books including Chasing Monarchs & more recently Mariposa Road, a fascinating account of recording butterflies all across the USA.
We are delighted to welcome guest speakers from all over the world. Keynote speakers include: Professor Chris Thomas (York University, UK), Professor Christer Wiklund (Stockholm University, Sweden), Professor Camille Parmesan (Texas & Plymouth Universities), Dr Tom Brereton (Butterfly Conservation, UK), Dr Thomas Merckx (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium).
