Salary £23,087- £26,992 pa (pro-rata) dependent on experience, plus 5% pension contribution
Butterfly Conservation is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to the conservation of butterflies and moths.
We are seeking a confident, self-motivated individual to join our dynamic Wales team. This post is responsible for leading on priority species surveys and conservation mainly in mid and North Wales and contributes towards delivering the targets identified in Butterfly Conservation’s National Action Plan for Wales. Butterfly Conservation’s volunteers are critical to delivering this work as is partnership working with NRW, local authorities, other NGO’s, private sector organisations and landowners.
The post will require travelling to some of Wales’ most iconic sites and to hidden gems. As well as computer based mapping, entering data and producing reports.
A good knowledge of butterflies and moths, survey techniques, habitat management and nature conservation in Wales, experience of working with statutory bodies, landowners and volunteers, and excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
