Mobile phones help conserve butterflies...and moths

Recycle your mobile phoneButterfly Conservation has teamed up with the recycling company, Greener Solutions and we receive £2.50 for every recycled mobile phone - irrespective of the age or condition of the phone.

Please recycle your unwanted mobile phones to raise money for Butterfly Conservation and to help save the planet. Forty recycled mobile phones would pay for a contractor to carry out conservation work for a whole day.

Please remove your sim card and send your old mobile phone FREEPOST to:

We would like to hear from schools, groups or businesses - large or small - willing to promote our scheme within their organisation.

It is estimated that 15 million mobile phones are replaced each year in the UK, so there is huge potential for charities to raise valuable income from schemes that encourage the recycling of mobile phones!

Platinum, gold, silver and copper are all found in mobile phones. These precious metals, as well as various plastics, can all be recycled, reducing landfill and helping to prevent environmental damage.
