Bodmin Moor

Join Butterfly Conservation and the All the Moor Butterflies project in a search for Marsh Fritillary caterpillar webs on Bodmin Moor.

With your help we will be able to identify where Marsh Fritillary are breeding across specific sites on the Moor, and monitor their population size.

No previous experience is neccessary, as all training and guidance will be provided.

Booking is essential due to the location of sites and limited parking. To book or find out more, please contact Jo Poland on 07800 548832 or email, who can then inform you of the  meeting location and plans for the day.

Please note the terrain can sometimes be a bit challenging, as Marsh Fritillary choose to live in damp grasslands with lots of varying vegetation heights. You will need to wear wellies and be prepared to use a walking stick to help you balance on the tussocks!

Incase of bad weather, a back-up day has been planned for Wednesday 20th August.
