Wildflower Sowing And Planting Day

Wildflower Sowing And Planting Day
Saturday 16th September 2017, 10am-3pm
Pollok Country Park

Butterflies need wildflowers, and you can help conserve them by coming along to sow some wildflower seeds in the polytunnel and plant some bigger plants outdoors.

We're working with Glasgow City Council's Natural Environment team to make Pollok and the Glasgow area better bfor butterflies by growing more of the plants they need. Part of this day will be indoors sowing more seeds for the wildflowers and putting the small plants into bigger pots. For the other half of the day we will be outside putting the grown wildflowers in the ground.

This event is suitable for all ages, but children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential; please contact Urban Butterfly Project Officer Anthony McCluskey on amccluskey@butterfly-conservation.org

Full details of directions and times will be sent out before the event.

This workshop is part of the Urban Butterfly Project, a three year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Scottish Natural Heritage and Butterfly Conservation members.
