Our third annual ‘Thank You’ to volunteers and recorders who support the UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme through walking transects and undertaking surveys, although anyone with an interest in butterflies is welcome!

A brand new volunteer group will be starting in the Salcey forest area to improve habitats for butterflies and moths. The sessions will run between 10am – 1pm, but you can stay for as little or as long as you like. Tools and refreshments will be provided.

Join the Dorset Branch work party at Lydlinch, where they will be managing habitat in an area crucial to the Marsh Fritillary butterfly. Conservation work is vital to ensure that this habitat is kept suitable for its survival at this site.
Join Malcolm Hull for walk around Nomansland Common looking for early autumn butterflies. Small Copper numbers build up during the summer and the Common is an excellent site to see this beautiful little butterfly.
