A joint walk with North Wales Wildlife Trust (NWWT) to search for an array of butterflies, plant species and other wildlife.

The site is noted for Silver-washed Fritillaries and White-letter Hairstreaks, as well as orchids, wild liquorice and slow worms.

Meet at Marford Quarry, Springfield Lane, Marford, Grid ref: SJ 3572 5634, nearest postcode LL12 8TG. Come into the reserve and park in the siding.

This event is taking place during Big Butterfly Count, the largest insect citizen science project in the world. Why not download an ID chart and take part in a 15-minute count during the event, which runs from 14 July - 6 August? The results help us see how butterflies are faring across the UK.
