The RSPB's reserves are fantastic for a wide range of wildlife not just birds! Here are some of their best for butterflies and moths. Why not do a Big Butterfly Count while you visit?

Leighton Moss
Relax and see some magical wildlife on a stroll through the reeds. Watch the red deer grazing around the pools and enjoy seeing the butterflies and dragonflies as they drift by, searching for food.
Tudeley Woods
An intricate mosaic of ancient woodland and heath within a historic landscape. Look for woodland and meadow butterflies, including white admirals and meadow browns along the white trail.

Dearne Valley
An urban landscape teeming with amazing wildlife. Stroll round the wildflower meadow in full bloom and take a picnic to the water’s edge.

Rainham Marshes
Big skies, exciting wildlife and a great place for a walk - all inside the M25! Explore the Marshland Discovery Zone for both the young and young at heart.

Enjoy stunning views and the thrill of seeing some of our rarest wildlife. Glimpse iridescent butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies close to the visitor centre.
