A Manifesto for Butterflies, Moths and our Environment
We want to see a world where butterflies and moths thrive and can be enjoyed by everyone, forever. Our butterflies and moths are fundamental to a thriving ecosystem. If butterflies and moths are doing well, so is the environment around us. However, the UK is in a biodiversity crisis. We know what is needed to reverse these declines, but time is running out. Now is the time to act.
Restore Nature Now
On 22 June 2024, Butterfly Conservation joined over 60,000 people and more than 350 charities, action groups and other organisations to march through central London and demand that the Government Restore Nature Now.
Make a Space for Nature
Since 1945 the UK has lost 98% of its meadows. This habitat loss along with climate change means that our butterflies and moths are in severe decline. But... it doesn’t have to be this way. We are embarking on a campaign to transform the UK into a butterfly and moth-friendly haven and we need you to help.
Weekly Lottery
Win up to £10,000 in the Butterfly Conservation weekly lottery! Join our flutter of players today for just £1 a week, supporting vital conservation work across the UK for threatened species of butterflies and moths.
