Online Annual General Meeting (AGM) 

Saturday 14 November 2020 at 10am

All BC members, and the public, are welcome to join BC's first online AGM via Zoom webinar. Details of how to register, attend and vote can be found below.

Our Chair, Karen Goldie-Morrison, Chief Executive, Julie Williams and Honorary Treasurer, Nigel Symington, look forward to welcoming you to this year's event. Sadly, due to Covid-19 restrictions and to ensure everyone remains safe, we took the difficult decision to cancel the Members' Day. However, we are extremely pleased to advise that BC's Associate Director, Dr Richard Fox, will be speaking about the impact of BC's work on the climate crisis.

Zoom Webinar - joining information

Registration

Please register here to attend the AGM.  Once registered, you will receive an email notification with a unique join link. If you do not receive the confirmation email within 30 minutes, you may need to check your junk/spam inbox. If the confirmation has not been received, please contact Vikki Webb via email @email or phone 01929 406020.
Registration closes on 11 November 2020.

How to join the AGM on the day

To join the AGM, click the link provided within the confirmation email.  You will be able to log in from 9.30am on Saturday 14 November 2020.

  • If you are joining using a desktop or laptop computer, you will need to download the Zoom app, https://zoom.us/download. Please allow additional time before the start of the AGM to do this.
  • If you are joining using an Android, iOS or BlackBerry phone or tablet, you will need to download the Zoom app via your phone/tablet app store. Please allow additional time before the start of the AGM to do this.

When you join, your audio and camera will be turned off, but you will still be able to hear and see the meeting. You do not need to have a camera or microphone installed on your device.

How to ask a question for the Q&A Session

If you would like to ask a question at the AGM, please send your question in advance to Sarah Adlem at @email, by Thursday 12 November 2020 at the latest.

It may only be possible to answer two or three questions during the AGM due to limited time, and questions will be selected at random.  All questions submitted will be answered and made available on our website by the end of November 2020.

Checking your audio settings

If you have a problem hearing you can check the audio settings by clicking the arrow next to the “Unmute button.” If you are connecting via a smartphone or tablet, you should press the “Audio” button and select “Call via Device Audio.”

Download speeds

Minimum download speeds recommended by Zoom is 1 Mbps download. Close programs you do not use and that may reduce your bandwidth. Ensuring other unused devices in your household/working station are disconnected from the internet may also increase bandwidth. Council Elections and Resolutions

All BC members over the age of 18 are eligible to vote on the Trustee Elections and Resolutions. Voting opens on Friday 25 September 2020, and please ensure you have placed your vote by 5pm on Friday 30 October 2020 as votes received after this date will not be counted. Remember to have your unique voting code to hand!
