It is with great regret that Simon has made the decision to postpone his upcoming Bike for Butterflies challenge. The restrictions put in place to protect everyone against Coronavirus Covid-19 mean he is unable to train effectively, and we can't be sure that restrictions will be lifted in time to the planned ride in June. The inevitable course of action is to reschedule the ride.

Simon is hopeful that once things settle down he will be able to reschedule, and still complete this mammoth task to raise funds to help threatened butterflies and moths. At the moment it is looking like this will be in 2021, but we will keep you updated with any developments. We will be contacting everyone who has already donated.

A gruelling 1,200-mile bike ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Why? To help fight the decline of threatened butterflies and moths.

Your support will make a difference

£12 could provide a volunteer with equipment like gloves and goggles so they can help create vital habitat for species like the Duke of Burgundy.

£45 could buy 50 Wild Thyme plants, providing food for the caterpillars of the threatened Large Blue butterfly, helping give it a safer future.

£250 could help pay for a conservation officer to run a training day for landowners, ensuring they can create the right conditions for threatened butterflies to thrive.

If Simon cannot complete his challenge due to unforeseen circumstances we would still like to use your sponsorship money to fund our conservation work. If you would prefer to have your sponsorship money returned in this instance please contact us at @email
