An Upper Thames Branch Guided Walk at Grangelands, led by Nick Bowles

Join us on a trip to the the BBOWT Grangelands and The Rifle Range Nature Reserve: an undulating site at the foot of the Chiltern scarp, with a rich and diverse wildlife.

We will take a 3 kilometre walk across the steep slopes on this part of the Chiltern scarp, looking principally for high-summer grassland butterflies and other wildlife. Target species: Chalk Hill Blue and Silver-spotted Skipper; plus day-flying moths.

Accessibility - sloping, steep and muddy in places, especially after rain. Kissing gates and some stiles..

Meet at the Pulpit Hill NT car park, 1.5 miles north-east of Princes Risborough.
