Black Hairstreak Training Day

Saturday 4th May 2019: 10am to 1pm, Hartwell Community Centre

(School Lane, Hartwell, NN7 2HL)

The Black Hairstreak is one of our most elusive butterflies. It is found in thickets of Blackthorn in woodlands and hedgerows on heavy clay soils between Oxford and Peterborough in the East Midlands of England, an area facing major development pressure.

Join us for a day of information sharing where you will learn about its ecology and how it’s being monitored. We will also be covering habitat management and how you can get involved to help conserve this species.

This is a FREE event, funded as part of the Woodland Wings project.

Booking essential: Please contact Caz Temple (Woodland Wings Project Officer): 07483 039 326 or ctemple@butterfly-conservation.org
