Saturday 30th March 2019, 10:00am-3:00pm
Walled Garden, Plean Country Park
- Anthony McCluskey
Come along to this free event to learn how to identify and record Stirling's butterflies. The event will introduce all the species you are likely to see in the area, and you'll receive guides to take away. The aim of the day will be to help new volunteers take part in recording butterflies at Plean Country Park and other places in Stirlingshire. We will spend the morning indoors learning all about butterflies, then go outside for the afternoon to see the route where butterflies are recorded weekly in the summer. This event is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to those with some experience who would like to be more involved in recording butterflies. Even if you are unable to commit to recording butterflies at Plean, you would still be welcome to attend.
Recording butterflies helps us to understand how their populations are doing, and it's a nice way to spend more time outdoors on sunny days.
