This event has sadly had to be cancelled.

This prominent hill to the East of Warminster is a super place for butterflies. Join the Wiltshire Branch for this Big Butterfly Count event to seek out the Chalkhill Blue, Dark Green Fritillary and other grassland species.

Directions: Meet at the Norton Bavant end ST 909 439 (Map 184). Approx postcode: BA12 7BD The first right on the B3414 from the eastern end of the Warminster by pass takes you to the car park on the right just over the railway bridge. Bring a picnic lunch as we will be having lunch on the hill part way through the walk.

Further information and how to register for field trips can be found on the Branch website

This event is taking place during the Big Butterfly Count, so why not download an ID chart and do a 15-minute count of the butterflies you can see?
