Northern end of Bodmin Moor

Join us in our search for Fritillary butterflies on Bodmin Moor. As part of the annual butterfly monitoring scheme we will be surveying an area of moorland for Marsh Fritillary

We visited this site last September and found lots of Devil's-bit Scabious, the caterpillar food plant of Marsh Fritillary. We are hoping that by visiting in June we will be able to confirm their presence/absence on this beautiful site. This event also provides the chance to learn more about butterflies and survey techniques, plus there will be plenty of other insects and plants to see. Beginners most welcome.

Booking is essential. To book and find out more (including meeting point and directions) please contact Jo Poland via the contact details below.

This event is part of the Heritage Lottery Funded 'All the Moor Butterflies' project.
