Meet at 10:00 at the parking place defined by the grid reference.  Check the web site for last minute changes.  Dress appropriately for Cumbrian weather, boots, waterproofs, warm clothing and, bring lunch and drinks.  We supply tools and protective items.
 

Directions:
At Newby Bridge, cross the bridge over the Leven towards the Swan Hotel.  At junction bear right over the railway bridge signposted Lakeside.  Pass through lakeside and bear right at the former bobbin mill.  Pass the YMCA camp.  After passing Graythwaite Old Hall turn left and follow a narrow road alongside a wall on the righthand side.  On an uphill part of the road there is a sharp righthand bend with a green gate on the left.  Wait by the gate. SD 3656 9087, post code LA 12 8AZ.  It’s likely that there will be permission to drive nearer the work site along a passable track.
