Meet at 10:00 at the parking place defined by the grid reference (please note that the parking area may change-check this site for details).  Check the web site for last minute changes.  Dress appropriately for Cumbrian weather, boots, waterproofs, warm clothing and, bring lunch and drinks.  We supply tools and protective items.

Bow-saws and loppers to create a new and more open habitat.  And a bonfire!

Directions: 

From the east, turn off A590 at Meathop roundabout, first exit and follow sign posted road to Grange. Drive through Grange centre following the major roads signed to Allithwaite and Flookburgh.  Leave Grange by Risedale Hill (large pink building on right) and enter open country.  In Allithwaite, turn right at Yakkers pub, then right just after Post Office into Quarry Lane, which leads to the community playing fields at grid reference SD 3876 7675. Sat nav LA11 7RF  Park at Allithwaite playing field.
From the west, turn right at Haverthwaite crossroads and follow B5278 to Holker, Cark and  Flookburgh to Allithwaite. Turn left at Yakkers pub, then right just after Post Office into Quarry Lane, which leads to the community playing field. Grid reference SD 3876 7675. Sat nav LA11 7RF Park at Allithwaite playing field.
Please do not park in Quarry Lane as it causes friction.
