Tuesday 15th May 2018, 11am-1pm

Join wildlife experts from Butterfly Conservation, the National Trust, and the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project on a walk around the beautiful Hembury Woods.

Along the way we will learn about the management the National Trust do for wildlife across Hembury and Holne Woods, and how the habitats here are of great importance to bats and butterflies. We hope to see a variety of butterfly species including Pearl-bordered and Small Pearl-bordered Fritillaries.

We will be meeting at 11am in the top car park, grid ref. SX724687. If coming from Buckfast, this is the last car park in the woods at the top of the hill (nearest postcode: TQ13 7RY). There are a couple of small car parks you can choose from.

The walk will be relatively gentle, but the terrain may be rough in places so walking boots/sturdy shoes are recommended. Why not make a day of it?! Bring a picnic to enjoy on site after the walk.

All welcome to this FREE event, but please let us know to expect you.
