Guided walk along the Cerne Downs at Cerne Abbas as part of the Cerne Abbas Festival. This should be a perfect time to see the rare Duke of Burgundy butterfly, a species that thrives on this site and which has been the target of a lot of our recent management efforts.

The walk will start at 2.00 pm from the Village Hall car park and finish in St Mary's Church for refreshments approx 2 hours later. Contact is Nigel Spring on 07981 776767 or email

The charge for the walk and tea will go towards St Mary's church funds and the other Festival charities.

It would help us if you could book with the walk/talk/work party leader in advance. This does not commit you to turning up, but it means that if we have to cancel the event, we can contact you to tell you this. We may use your email address to contact you immediately after the event, but it will not be held for any future purpose
