The lowest north slopes of Black Hill have been managed to create a mosaic scrub habitat which abounds with primroses. With just two known casual sightings in the past six years we are hoping for colonisation by the Duke of Burgundy from populations on nearby Giant Hill. So this is a casual walkabout starting at 2.00 pm to search for the species, with many other butterflies to be seen in the area. Please note this event will only take place if there is warm sunshine.
