Come and meet members of East Midlands Butterfly Conservation at the National Trust's Hardwick Hall!

There will be a chance to take part in a quiz, do a Big Butterfly Count and get help with butterfly identification.

Everyone is to meet in the stableyard to get involved. Unfortunately dogs are not welcome at this event.

Getting there

  • By train: The closest train station is Chesterfield. From there you can pick up a taxi or catch the Pronto bus from Chesterfield coach station, see bus directions for further details.
  • By road: 8 miles south-east of Chesterfield; via A6175. Leave M1 exit 29, follow brown signs. Parking: 600-space car park
  • By bus: From Chesterfield, alight Glapwell 'Young Vanish', and cross the road, walk up the hill and take 1st right following signs to Rowthorne & Hardwick. Continue toward village then take 2nd right & 1st left, arriving at Rowthorne gate. Continue straight to access Hardwick Hall.
