Learn about the fascinating world of moths and bats in Finzean Community Woods. To attract nocturnal moths we will set up light and sugar traps (which don’t harm them) and while they gather, go on a walk using bat detectors to find which bats are out hunting. Then we will return to the traps to observe the diversity of moths we have caught. Under 16’s must be accompanied. Event organised in partnership with Birse Community Trust & Aberdeenshire Council Ranger Service. Booking essential: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/160754273359

Please bring: warm clothing, stout footwear, sunglasses/wide-brimmed hat (to shield eyes from bright moth trap light), midge repellent & torch.
