Scrub clearing to improve habitat for Duke of Burgundy on Ravensgate Common.

Meet at entrance to shooting school SO 979181 on A436. (There is room for about 4 or 5 cars here. Alternative parking is available at entrance to Lineover Wood 800m eastwards along the road at SO987185. It is then an easy walk along the Cotswold Way to Ravensgate.)

We will be working at the foot of the slope. (Note that the adjacent map shows the common rather than the parking place as there is a short walk, you may this map with the parking shown helpful.)

Please bring your own gloves and hand tools (bow saws and loppers) if possible. However, branch tools will be available but they are not to be swapped during a session. They will be cleaned after/before each work party and hand sanitiser will be available in the first aid box. Social distancing must be maintained at all times. Work party leaders will be aware of the full risk assessment arrangements.

Booking is essential

If you want to be involved in this work party please contact Serena Meredith by email at @email. Give the time (morning or afternoon or both) that you are available.

Once you have booked and had confirmation of your place it would be much appreciated if you honour the booking. If for any reason you are unable to do that please inform Serena and she will be able to offer your place to someone else. As human resources will be limited it is even more important that the places are always filled.

Should it be necessary to cancel any work party due to reimposed restrictions, Serena will notify all those who have booked by email.
