Volunteers are needed to help maintain the habitat of the rare Pearl-bordered Fritillary Butterfly at Loch Katrine. Join us and staff from Forestry and Land Scotland as rake away dead bracken to make more space for the violets which this butterfly needs.
When: Saturday 25th November, 10am - 3pm. Even if you are only able to join us for part of the day you are still welcome to help.
Where: Loch Katrine. We will be leaving from the Pier Car Park at the eastern end of Loch Katrine. Full directions will be given to anyone who registers to attend.
Booking: Click here to book your space.
Transport: transport from Stirling or other areas nearby may be possible - contact us to request this.
This event will be led by staff from Butterfly Conservation and Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), and the work will take place on land owned by FLS. This work will be based on advice from Nick Cooke from CLEAR Services, following the Pearl-Bordered Fritillary Trossachs Project.
