Following a get together of High Brown Fritillary practitioners from across the UK, we’ll be collecting  habitat data by usual quadrat based approach on more sub-sites where management has been initiated last winter. Location is Alun valley in western Vale of Glamorgan, near villages of St Brides & Ewenny. We need volunteers to help record vegetation in the habitat – mostly working in pairs on your knees, so not too strenuous! Good chance to see HBF caterpillars, Small Pearl-bordered Frits flying and trying to identify solitary bees.

Ongoing throughout May. Please contact Richard Smith for dates and to join us.
