Meeting place: Ballinlaggan RSPB reserve, just off the A938 between Dulnain Bridge and Duthil. This is an unpublicised reserve and so there are no signposts! Turn off the main road onto a track at NH 947249 (What3words: swinging.headers.burden), follow the track across low-lying ground and up a rise, bear right and park near to a livestock handling pen at NH949246 (What3words: imprinted.flinches.losing).
Description: We will remove regenerating broom using handtools, (Tree poppers, loppers and bowsaws), to prevent the shading out of various wildflowers – foodplants for butterflies and moths.
Approx duration: Up to 6 hours, but you are welcome to join in and leave whenever you want. Every little helps, so if you only want to come for an hour you will still be very welcome.
What’s needed: Places are limited so please let Pete know in advance if you plan to attend. Bring lunch and wear old clothes. If you have them, bring work gloves.
