This is 600m (0.4mile) along a private road off the B970 between Street of Kincardine and Loch Pityoulish. The turn-off is 1.6km (1 mile) south of Street of Kincardine.
Description: Major scrub clearance, by contractor and excavator, has recently taken place along forest tracks at this site to prevent the shading out of bird’s-foot trefoil, the foodplant of Dingy Skipper caterpillars. However, more sensitive hand-removal of regeneration is required in places. We will remove small regenerating trees and bushes by hand and using hand tools (Tree poppers, loppers and bowsaws),
Approx duration: Up to 6 hours (finishing about 4pm).
What’s needed: Please let Pete know in advance if you plan to attend. Bring lunch and wear old clothes. If you have them, bring work gloves.
