Target species for this trip are the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillaries and Chimney Sweeper moths. Other species on the wing are likely to include Large Skipper, Small Copper, Common Blue and Small Heath. Several species of dragonfly are usually seen at the Pools on the site. Easy and level walking but can be muddy following heavy rain. Stout footwear is advised.  Estimated end time about 2pm.

Location: Meet in Stockhill Plantation car park ST 548 512 (Map 183).
Directions: Car park is located off the B3134 North of Wells.

All trips will be subject to any government and/or Butterfly Conservation limitations applicable at the time of the trip, e.g. for social distancing reasons.  Pre-registration is essential so you MUST inform the trip leader if you are intending to go on the field trip, either directly, through leaving a phone message, or via text message or email, no later than the evening of the day before the trip.  The field trip leader will have the discretion to cancel a field trip if there are no confirmed attendees or due to inclement weather.
