Saturday 10th February - Gorse clearance in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh

Butterfly Conservation and the Holyrood Park Ranger Service will be working to cut and remove gorse to benefit the Grayling butterfly in the park. We will be using hand tools such as saws and loppers to remove the gorse. Full instruction will be provided.

Please note – the work site is about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Holyrood Park Education Centre (the meet point). It’s initially a steepish walk uphill to get there, but the work site itself is relatively flat.

Start: 10am at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (Grid Ref - NT27167401 or what3words - ///straw.papers.cook)

Finish: 3pm

There is free weekend parking in the Broad Pavement Car Park if coming by car. Please note that the roads inside the park will be closed as per usual on the weekend.

Please let David Hill know in advance if you plan to attend so that we can plan accordingly.
