We will be clearing small spruce trees from the open heath area surrounding the Gathering Stone at Sheriffmuir near Dunblane. If left to grow the spruce will shade out butterflies such as Green Hairstreak which rely on this sheltered heath for habitat. We’ll be using tools such as loppers and handsaws to remove the scrub.

Transport to the site is available from our Stirling Office and Dunblane train station - please get in touch to arrange this.

Start: 10am at Sheriffmuir (We'll give you directions and information)
Finish: 3pm

Please bring: Water, lunch, wellies or sturdy waterproof walking boots and work clothes - including waterproofs. Be prepared for cold conditions and bring warm hat, fleece etc.

Gloves and tools are provided.
