Nutcombe Bottom

Join experts from Exmoor National Park Authority, Forestry Commission, and Butterfly Conservation in the search for creatures of the night.

We'll be on the lookout for deer, bats, glow worms, and the elusive and magnificently cryptic bird, the Nightjar.

Back at base we will have a couple of moth traps set up in order to find out what moth species live in these wonderful woodlands. These traps will be out all night and will be opened on Wednesday at the Big Adventure Family Day so please do join us again to see them in the daylight.

Torches and binoculars are advised if you have them. Please also bring sunglasses if you plan on staying around the moth traps (the light is very bright!).

Park and meet at Nutcombe Bottom (SS977424) nr Dunster TA24 6TA. No need to book, so just turn up to this FREE event.
