The Northern Brown Argus butterfly is one of our priorities for conservation work, as it has been lost from over half its range in just 40 years. Volunteers are needed to help us maintain the habitat for this butterfly at Straloch estate, a few miles outside Pitlochry. On the day, we will be removing the cut branches of birch trees which were encroaching onto the flower rich-grassland used by the Northern Brown Argus. Lifts can be offered from Aberfeldy, Ballinluig and Pitlochry and other locations between these - contact Anthony on [email protected]

Location: Straloch Estate (between Pitlochry and Kirkmichael). Exact location will be sent to everyone who registers.
Date and time: There are two dates. You are welcome to come to one or both of these, and to stay as long as you can on either. Saturday 26th October, 10am - 3pm and Wednesday 30th October, 10am-3pm.  Even if you can only attend for part of the day you are still welcome to come and help!
