Join us on Saturday 25th February to plant wildflowers and trees to help butterflies and moths. Volunteers are needed to help with this work to create new Wild Spaces - places where butterflies and moths can feed, breed and find shelter.
No experience is necessary, and full training and tools will be provided. People of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome to attend. Butterfly Conservation wants to make all our volunteer opportunities as accessible as possible, and will therefore cover your travel expenses to allow you to join us at this event. For this project we are able to reimburse you for expenses for up to 20 miles of travel, at 45p/mile if using your own car, or any public transport expenses even beyond the 20 mile mark.
Time: We will be at the site between 10.30am and 2.30pm, with a break for lunch. Even if you can't help for the entire day you are still welcome to attend for an hour or two.
Location: Full directions will be given to anyone who registers to attend, but the site is near the south part of Bute Drive (just south of the Argyll Road Playground).
Booking: Please book your space by emailing Project Officer Anthony McCluskey on [email protected]
This event is part of the The Wild Spaces Perth and Stirling Project, which is generously funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, NatureScot and Stirling Council. Is it being supported by Perth and Kinross and Stirling Councils.
