Come and join us for a day of willow weaving, a lovely way to connect with your environment, support your well being and improve your identification skills.

Meeting at Calgary Bay we will take a short walk around the Machair - an important herb-rich grassland supporting many different species of wildlife. Then spend the rest of the day creating willow sculptures under the supportive guidance of Leen Skinner, a local willow weaver.

Open to all, no experience of willow weaving needed. Lots of advice, support and materials provided.

Places are limited to 10 - booking essential

This event is being run as part of the Species on the Edge programme, which is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
