If you love butterflies and moths and would like to give up some time to help conserve them in Cambridgeshire and Essex, we have a number of open positions.
The amount of time required varies (we’d take as much as you can spare) and the committee meets every other month to report and make future plans.
Training and support will be given where necessary
Interested? To get involved please email Mike Gittos at @email - we’d love to have you on board.
Keep our membership records up-to-date, welcome our new members with an email communication and liaise with the team at Butterfly Conservation UK.
County Recorder Cambridgeshire
Collate and manage the population records for butterflies in Cambridgeshire, working closely with the County Recorder of Essex and other regions.
Organise and attend events, help to increase our membership and generally spread the word about Butterfly Conservation in our area.
Conservation Officer Essex
Take the lead role in our local conservation efforts in Essex. Working with the Cambridgeshire Conservation Officer, and other organisations to create suitable habitats across the county.
This is a vital role in our organisation and you would have to wear many different hats throughout the year.
For a full run down of what a volunteer conservation officer does, get in touch and we can set up a meeting with our Conservation Officer for Cambridgeshire.
