BC Cumbria Field Trips 2021
9 April 2021

Field trips will be governed by Government and Butterfly Conservation regulations and guidance. This first draft may be subject to future changes due to changes in the "road map" occasioned by the national state of the Corona virus pandemic. At this time the number of participants at field trips is likely to be restricted to a manageable number, for example about 10.  Maintain social distancing, wear a face covering or mask where appropriate and bring hand sanitiser.   Booking is essential.  Ring Chris Winnick 01539 728254 to book.

If between booking and the field trip date, you develop the symptoms of Covid 19 or if you have been in contact with others who are unwell with possible Covid 19 symptoms, or you have been told to be in quarantine  or to self-isolate by the Track and Trace System, you may not attend field trips. Please contact Chris Winnick to cancel your place, so that it can be offered to another person.

Our branch field trip practice has been reviewed and changed to be Covid secure by complying with best current practice.

Car sharing is not recommended but if necessary, follow Government guidelines. Wear a mask, open car windows for ventilation and sanitise contact surfaces.

At the start of the field trip, participants will be asked to confirm their freedom from Covid symptoms in the previous ten days or having been vaccinated.
Hand sanitiser will be available (but do bring your own if you prefer).  Face masks may be worn if wished.  Procedures during the field trip to maintain Covid security will be described during the introduction.

Please note that restrictions may be altered in the future changing the practice or field trips may be cancelled if local or national infection levels increase or due to changes in Government policy.  It may be possible to provide more field trips if the overall situation improves.

Please be advised to check this site the day before the event for changes and updates
